John Holt. an extraordinary & remarkable individual with a wealth of expertise as a first responder and a heart dedicated to service.

For the past 20 years, John has served as a Fire Captain for the Los Angeles City Fire Department and the last 11 of these years he has been serving dual positions as a fire & medical captain. The first-black-youngest to ever hold this dual

position in the history of the Los Angeles City Fire Department.

His unwavering dedication to his role is a testament to his character and passion for helping others in times of need. His commitment to protecting and serving the community of Los Angeles is truly

admirable, and his selfless dedication to his work is evident in all that he does.

Prior to his distinguished career in firefighting, John bravely served in the Marine Corps in the Special Forces Division. His time in the military instilled in him values of courage, discipline, and selflessness that continue to drive his passion for service and guide him in

all aspects of his life.

In addition to his extensive practical experience, John holds a Bachelor's degree in Fire Science along with several medical certifications that further enhance his expertise in fire prevention and emergency response strategies.

John is a board member on the Stentorians (Black Firemen) and dedicates himself to mentoring young rookie firefighters. His motto: "Reach and Teach" is proof of his unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

Despite his impressive professional achievements, John's upbringing is deeply rooted in humility and faith. Raised by his parents, He is the son to a prominent Federal Attorney and

a Christian Preacher. Born in the heart of Mississippi and raised as a good ole' country boy who was taught to have reverence for God and respect for the legal system. These humble beginnings have shaped John into the compassionate, kind-hearted, loving individual that he is today.
